Human-Robot Interaction & Robotics
Continual learning, biomedical signal analysis, and explainable robotics for human-centred autonomous systems.
Overview
Research in this area covers autonomous and multi-robot systems, swarm and aerial robotics, continual and lifelong learning, and the biomedical signal analysis that underpins several human-facing applications. The recurring problem is that a robot working alongside people has to keep learning after deployment without losing what it already knows, and has to be able to account for what it did. Members also work on robotics and STEM education, which brings the same systems into teaching settings.
